Tiger Paws Tournament

It's over!
The boys went to what will be their last tournament for the season this weekend. There were 600 kids entered which makes for big brackets and a long day. Despite that they all did well and tried hard. Shermie had a pin and took second in his bracket (which was not such an easy task). Tuff and Matt worked hard and did there best. Both their brackets were full and it was a round robin tournament which made for a lot of matches. Tuffer did have one pin and ended up in fourth. Nic had a pin and took first in his bracket (though there were only three kids in it) and he was so thrilled.
Here is a video especially for my Uncle Steve, who was worried about three year-olds wrestling. Have a good laugh:

After

Here is what we had to do to fix the hair problem. (Let me just say it made quiet the hairball in the drain)
We considered leaving it like this but decided against it.
Though I'm not sure how much better this was. Nic's thoughts were that he was just glad his dad only cut his hair "small" and didn't spank him.

What a ham.

Oh, Bocker!

My little trouble maker.
What is wrong with this picture?

Nic got a hold of his dad's electric razor. Think he knows he's in trouble?

This is what he was doing yesterday. You don't think he was in his mom's purse do you?

He seems a happier about this little stunt. I don't know maybe he thought he needed a make over.
He just can't help himself. Oh well, what are you going to do? If it wipes off or grows back I guess your still good, right? It did earn him a couple of long time outs though.

Republic VS. Democracy

I have always understood that this country was formed as a republic and not a democracy. I have understood the differences but have often found it hard to explain to others why this DOES matter. This video does just that and is a great explaination. I feel it is vital to understand the differences and stand for the heart our country as it was founded before we lose sight of the purpose of a republic.

Super Bowl and Good News

What a great weekend we had! Scott, Jen and the girls came over from Denver to watch the Super Bowl. The boys were so glad to get to play with their cousins. Savannah and Sydney were good girl practice for them and they loved it.

Sunday morning we went to sacrament meeting, then came home and had lunch while the kids ran around playing out in the nice weather we had.

We all had 3-D glasses for the half time commercials. Doesn't Savy look so chic?

The little hams posing for the camera. They were really excited for the commercials that only lasted about a minute. But hey the glasses were cool. I think the boys each made it out the door with a pair as they went to get on the bus this morning.
Nic and Savy had a blast playing with each other. They were best buds. Looks like she knows how to keep those boys in line all ready. So don't mess with her.
I think Sydney had the right idea though a nap sure looks like a good plan. She has the best little personality and kept us laughing with her antics. No wonder she was so tired. Entertaining this crowd must have been rough.
Thanks, Scott and Jen for the visit and sharing the girls! (and the too cute baby outfit:) It was really great having you. And I win because I picked the Steelers to win and you didn't, Scott. :p
Here is the good news:
We were excited to find out that Scott and Jen are expecting again, SURPRISE! Congrats to you both.
We also got some good news from Spencer, he asked Sarah to marry him and she said, "Yes". Sarah seems really nice and we are pleased he found such a good girl. Couldn't be happier for you, So Congrats to you too! We can't wait to have these additions to the family.
