Happy Halloween Uncle Mikey

Annalyn, Gramie and I made a special Halloween treat trip over to Uncle Mikey's. Since she was dressing up again I thought it was a good time to get some more pictures of her and her egg.

She helped pass out candy to all the guys and made sure Mikey got an extra big hug.

Leaping Lizards

Matthew found this little collared lizard while visiting Uncle Mikey.

He of course had to bring it home.

The kids were all fascinated with it.

Especially when it pulled this little trick...

They were very concerned that it had been hurt until I explained how they are able to drop their tails off in an effort to escape it's prey. He was then let lose to go on his way.

Annalyn just loves her Great Uncle Mikey. They are like peas in a pod. When we go to his doctor's appointments this is exactly where she wants to be.
We are very glad he is doing so well with the radiation, we want to keep him around as long as we can!

Happy Birthday, Uncle Mikey!

Today is our Great-Uncle Mikey's birthday! Earlier this week we helped him celebrate it.

Matthew and Tuffer made dog tags for "Pin the Dog Tag on the Army Guy". While Shermie and Nicholas put the goodies in the Goodie Bags.

Then the boys wrapped up presents (or rather bagged up presents). All the kids enjoyed watching and "helping" Mikey open his gifts.

"Pin the Dog Tag on the Army Guy" was a big hit. Mikey, his friends, and the kids had a great time.

(I think Mikey was cheating, what a smart-alic :).

Here's the Cool-Dude Birthday Guy with Shermie. We love visiting with Mikey and the other guys in his house and they really enjoy the boys. They are always happy to see us and it teaches the boys compassion and acceptance of others differences to be with them, but mostly they love their Uncle Mikey and know what a special person he is.

Christmas Fun!

We had a great Christmas, here is some of the fun we had. Sunday we had dinner and present at Grandma and Grandpa's before they went to Denver. Thank you, Grandma and Grandpa!

Bridger and Maddi came to play on Tuesday and it was a blast. They all loved playing together.

Christmas Eve we went and saw The Tale of Despereaux. I thought it was good and the kids liked it. Christmas morning we opened presents at our house.

We then went to Gramie and Pop Pop's house for more presents and breakfast. Sherman looks pretty cool in his Bronco head. Matthew and Nic got super hero gloves and hats. They can hardly stand to take them off. Uncle Mikey came for breakfast and it was fun to have him there. Thank you, Gramie and Pop Pop!

Christmas dinner was at our house. It was nice to have everyone here and to enjoy one another company. We hope everyone had a Great Christmas where ever you were. We send you all Seasons Greetings and our best wishes for a Happy New Year!
