The School Program That Will Live On...FOREVER

Now we all know when we hear the words "school music program" we all get the same looks on our faces. You know the dazed zoned out look, where your eyes just kind of glaze over...

Well this music program promised to no different.
But then...
...Saved the day!...you might want to watch this on an empty stomach...you have been warned...

Yep, that will wake you up! Hard to be bored after that performance!

Mother Goose On The Loose

I hate it when I forget the camera and we have to use the cell phones but whatever. We went to Matthew's music program tonight at the school. Both sets of Grandparents where there. The songs were all from nursery rhymes which was fun. The kids took turns playing the xylophone. Here was Matthew's turn.
He is such a character to watch! He kept us all laughing the whole time which made the program watchable.
At one point right in the middle of the program the music teach jumps up and starts heading quickly toward the students looking a bit perturbed. She went to one of the students and made him spit out his gum. We thought for sure she was going for Matthew and I think for a second he did too. It was hilarious.

We Love Colorado!

This program was one of the funnest I have been to. The fourth graders including Shermie did an absolutely wonderful job. It was all about Colorado.
They dressed up like cowboys/girls and prospectors. Shermie looked so much like another Sherman (i.e. Big Granddad). In fact that is his hat that he's wearing.
They sang a lot of fun song and actually sounded really good. We (grandparents and all) were really impresses. What a fantastic program.
Shermie's Costume had to have been the best he got a lot of compliments not bad for throwing it together at the last minute. The beard I made and the hat I had but thanks go to Gramie for the overalls and Grandma for the shirt.

Go Green Farley McSheen!

Another week another program. This one was the Second Grade Program. (It is not hard to tell what the views of the music teacher are on the subject of recycling.) With Grandparents in tow we found our seats and were ready for the show. We took up the entire second row.
Tuffer did a great job with his parts. I loved watching him!
They had a lot of songs about recycling. A LOT. It made me wounder if that warm fuzzy feeling I got for watching Tuffer's program was actually related to something bigger, like a large scale warming pattern...HMMMMM? Al Gore would be proud.
Tuffer and the other Kids really did a great job and it was a fun program (even if my chuckling was more related to content then performance). I was just tickled green.

Bee's and Butterflies '10

Here we are again at another wonderful First Grade Program. (maybe you remember the name and the shirts from last year or even before since this is the third go round) Matthew of course put his own little spin on the choreography.
The gym is always full to the brim for this program. Both sets of grandparents came and even though we had all heard it twice before it was still funny and entertaining. (Grandpa was particularly amused)
Especially with Matthew hamming it up the way only he can do.
To prove my point enjoy this video of the HAM himself at work.
