Eating Your Words

While play with a dog at a friends house, Matthew got bit. It wasn't a bad bite but we took him to the doctor's office to get it cleaned out and looked at to see if it would need any stitches.
Sherman took him in. While they were waiting in the exam room Matthew asked him what the stick on the counter was for. Sherman told him it was to stick up his nose and test his brain for dog germs. Matthew gave him a look and said, "Your going to eat your words..." long pause "Literally". When the doctor came in and did not use it to stick up his nose Matthew said under his breath, "Told you you would eat your words...sucker".
I guess he showed him. His leg was fine, both he and the dog were up to date on shots. No stitches and Matthew lives to smart off another day. Got to love that kid!

Ice Cream

We finally went and did the kids' school shopping. All the boys will be in school this year so they all got school clothes. It is such fun trying to figure out every ones sizes and get them what they need. Annalyn was probably feeling jipped (you may not think she would notice but oh let me tell you this girl noticed). She may not have gotten school clothes but she did get ice cream.
She was plenty happy about that!Yum!
I think we had as much fun watching as she did eating it!

A Good Sign

We were treated this afternoon with a double rainbow.
I love rainbows! They, along with the rain, are one of my very favorite things. And what an awesome double at that. Annalyn was standing outside with me when I took these. To my great amusement she was just as excited about them as I was.
Just like it was for Noah, they are always a good sign to me. (though I doubt if Noah was a big fan of the rain)

Stuck...

...Don't we all feel like this sometimes? Annalyn was helping remove the tape from painting.
I think it might have gotten to be a little stickier then she expected.
But it didn't stop her from pulling off more tape. Silly girl. (hmm, wonder if there could be a moral to this story? maybe... if I had more time)

Ugly Wallpaper

We finally got rid of the spectacular green wallpaper that has graced my room.
We had the kids help tear it down. They thought that was Great!...
...Maybe they enjoyed it a little to much. (yes, that is straight drywall underneath the paper on this wall, nice... super nice)
We painted and it looks so nice!!!
Though I am sad that we don't have the green and purple in the computer room anymore.
But it's done and that I am thankful for.

Thanks Grandma!

We got to go to Banana's Fun park this week as a treat from Grandma. Aunt Dee, Marcus and Ava went with us.
We got soaked on the bumper boats, shot at in laser tag, bounced around in the jump-a-jumps, and chased down in the go-carts. What a Blast!! Thank You So Much!

Veggies!!!

Here is some of what I have gotten out of the garden boxes so far: Green Beans, Radishes, Carrots and Beets.
The carrots and beats are small because I was thinning them. There are so many because I had help...ya. We also have had Snap peas and are still waiting on tomatoes, potatoes, squash and pumpkins.

4th of July BBQ 2010

We got back from our Utah trip just in time to have our July 4th BBQ. Scott and Jen were passing through so they were able to be here too. Of course we also had Grandpa and Grandma, Eathan, Pop pop and Gramie, Sean and Kelli and family also. I love it when we have a big group for fireworks.
Thanks to my mom the meat was already cooked when we got back so all we really had to do was set out the camping chairs and set up the fireworks. We were going to have a slip-and-slide but just before it was time for everyone to come over we were having a major wind storm and a little rain. I was worried that we would all have to sit in the garage to watch the fireworks or not have them at all. The weather cleared up just in time. In the first picture above you can see the storm that had passed in the background.
The kids each got a turn to help with the fireworks. Poor Katee was sick and didn't feel up to it. She ended up going to the hospital the next day with appendicitis.
The show was not quite as big as last year but it was still a good one. The kids loved it!
Annalyn loved it too, she was so excited. She kept saying ,"OOOO and WOOOW". She sat by Pop pop and played peek-a-boo with the blanket. But we went passed her bedtime and her bedtime doesn't wait.

Fireworks and Fashion

We went to get the fireworks for our BBQ. The boys had a hard time picking out what they wanted.
They kept changing their minds. They would find one they liked and then would see one they liked better. This went on until we drew the line and made them stop looking.
Annalyn on the other hand knew exactly what she wanted. What is better the fireworks that come in a PURSE!She was Sold!

Trip to Utah

Gavin was baptized this weekend so we went to visit the Utah cousins. While we were there we had a BBQ birthday party for Gavin.
Left to right, Back to Front: Nic, Savannah, Tuffer, Sammie, Eathan Keller, Matthew, Shermie, Annalynn, Sydney, Katie Keller, Macie Christiansen, Beck Christiansen, David R, Gavin Keller, Jonas Christiansen

Jessie made his cake which turned out cute. I'm sure Gavin loved the Bakugan on it.
Later that night we went to the Sugar Hill Fireworks display. It was a really great show as you can tell by the looks on their faces, especially Sydney and Annalyn.
Yep, It was Awesome!
