Just a few pictures of the boys playing baseball.
During the baseball season with four boys and three different teams, we live at the ball field. The dinner of choice of course is hot dogs, cheese fries and an occasional frito pie. That's a lot of dogs.
Having Matthew and Tuffer on the same team has been nice. I like watching the two of them playing together.
Sherman and Steve are coaching Shermie's team this year. Let's just say they are a work in progress.
Annalyn loves to cheer for the boys.
Nicholas' team is funny to watch. Mostly because Nic is such a nut!
He has gotten some good hits.
He may turn out to be a good catcher but I think he just likes the equipment.
Annalyn with ketchup corners.
Buy the time the season is over we will be full of both baseball and hot dogs. But hey what am I complaining about...week night entertainment with the family, cheap no cook dinner...I'm all over that!

Warming Up For Baseball
We got the boys' baseball stuff out today and headed to the church to do some practice. This year Sherman and his dad will be coaching Shermie's team.
Annalyn had fun running around the back stop away from Mom.
Even though there was still a chill in the air it was so nice to be outside.
Let the season begin.

Living at the Ball Park
Well, as Spring has slowly sprung we find ourselves most night and Saturday's at the Baseball field. With four boys and a sports loving husband, it is inevitable that they play ball. And so we bundle ourselves against the cold sprintery (spring/winter) weather and fest on the culinary delicacies served up at the concession stand.

This year is Nicholas' first year as he starts T-ball. His team is the Tennessee Titans. He has been fun to watch as far as t-ball goes. He has a lot of friends on the team and they ALWAYS win. ;)
Matthew and Tuffer are on the same team. They are the Alabama Crimson Tide, the mascot is an Elephant. Someone explain that to me please.

So far they are Undefeated! They both have been doing really well. Tuffer has been hitting the ball like a mad man. Matthew has made some good plays.
Annalyn has really been getting a kick out of watching them play. She calls to them when they get up and loves cheering and clapping the boys on. She also has quite the following. Whenever she decides to go roaming around there is always a cluster of kids around her. She is so popular.
Shermie is on the CSU Rams and is doing so good. He hit a triple just the other night.
I am so proud of all of them. I never thought I would say it but I am perfectly happy to live at the ball park as long as I can watch these boys play.

Baseball is in the Air
The weather was so nice today we got the boys out to practice some baseball. This year all of the boys are playing. That means three different teams, three different practices, three different games. It should be fun trying to get everyone to the proper place and time.
Annalyn wants to play! This was the first time she got to play on the grass and spend time outside.
Running at the the end of practice.

Baseball
Baseball season is over, Hooray!! Since we haven't posted any pictures yet here they are.
Shermie's ready to smack the ball. When he hit it, it would be hard and fast and he had a hit or two every game. There team had a lot of wins and were a terrific group of kids.
It was fun, Glad it's done!

Rockies, Broncos and Broken Glass
Happy Birthday Sherman Peter! For his birthday we went to Denver to attend a Rockies game and visit with Scott and Jen. We went over Friday afternoon and went to the Rockies vs. Dodgers game that night (rockies lost). With us were Scott, Jen, Savannah and Sydney, Susan and Steve and Stevie. Despite the forecast for rain, it did not and we had a great time!!!

The boys were really good! Even though the people in front of us were not impressed. They left the game in the 3rd inning. If you don't like kids don't go to a ball park, the chances are good there will be kids there.
Thanks, Susan and Steve for the tickets!

Saturday the Big Boys went golfing. Then the Girls went to lunch without the kids. It was nice to spend time together without being hung on. The boys and I headed home then and Sherman stayed for another Rockies game and a Broncos game. He should feel a little spoiled by now but he's worth it and deserves it for all his hard work. He'll be home today.
While Sherman was not home, last night, we had a big scare. Thankfully no one was hurt. We had all just gotten in bed. There was a huge banging, crashing and glass breaking noise. It was so loud I thought someone had fallen through the roof or crashed into the house. Upon investigation this is what I found, besides wide-eyed boys.
This is the mirror that had been on the wall in the boys' bathroom. Without any warning sign or explanation it just fell off and shattered into pieces, which covered the bathroom and all the way out into the hallway. Thank goodness the boys had not been in there when it happened! Even the broken pieces were heavy. I still can't find any reason for it falling, very weird. All though it did not have any additional support to keep it on the wall, like those little mounting brackets that you may sometimes see. I will be checking the other mirrors in the house and putting brackets on them. You may want to too. This could have been very bad. You would not believe how heavy they are.

Father's Day Weekend

Happy Father's Day to all! We happen to a have one of the best dads every! So we got him the best gift ever(according to us). A few weeks ago we were watching a show with Dad on how different things are made. It showed how they make Fisher Space Pens that write in space, underwater, and upside down. VERY COOL! We knew Dad and Grandpa needed one. Mom helped us go online to make our order. We all managed not to tell Dad. He was surprised we didn't spill the beans. Both Dad and Grandpa like them. They do make great gifts and are reasonable priced.
We had a nice weekend which started with a bike ride, or chase if your mom and dad, around the neighborhood. Shermie did circles around the loop while Matthew insists that he should be allowed to do the same, as we tried to complete the first loop. Nicholas went fast then slow depending on if he thought he could bet Shermie before he went too far again. We assured Tuffer that there was nothing wrong with his bike, as he tried to stay up right and on it. Then Matthew again tried to leave with Shermie. After about the third or fourth time we headed for the side with the hill. Dad at the top, Mom at the bottom to keep them from flying right out on to the next street as they came zooming down. We really get a kick out of this because its tricky for them to keep up their nerve as they get going faster and faster which results sometime in a bail out. Helmet are great.
Saturday Nic helped Dad mow the lawn and only missed a spot or two. Then we went to one of the older boys' baseball games. Shermie's first hit that game was a double and he had two other hits later that mom missed because she was chasing Matt and Nic. He also help get three outs. Tuffer did good too. The team is made up of fairly young kids so the haven't won a game yet. A lot of them (one being the here fore mentioned) are still in daisy picking mode from t-ball but they have gotten a lot better. It is so fun to watch them play, they try hard.
Next we headed to Gramie and PopPop's with everyone there. This means pool party. Shermie is doing really well without a life jacket but I still keep a close eye on him because it makes me nervous. The other boys and the girls have suits with built in floaties and they g
et around pretty quick in them. The suits make them look like super heroes so its a big laugh.
Sunday we went to church and then had Grandma and Grandpa over for a BBQ. For desert Grandma made a Filthy Wilma which everybody loved. It was a nice evening. I think the next thing I will add to the blog is a recipe section.
