Heaven help their Teachers!

Especially his! All that awesomeness is going to be hard to contain.
I was thinking Annalyn might be kind of sad about her brothers not being home all day.
I think I might be wrong about that...

The School Program That Will Live On...FOREVER

Now we all know when we hear the words "school music program" we all get the same looks on our faces. You know the dazed zoned out look, where your eyes just kind of glaze over...

Well this music program promised to no different.
But then...
...Saved the day!...you might want to watch this on an empty stomach...you have been warned...

Yep, that will wake you up! Hard to be bored after that performance!

The Dentist and Lunch

This morning we skipped the bus for school and loaded everyone in the car to go to the dentist's office. That's right all five in one day. This works great for me because they usually have two to three back at a time. The others just sit and watch cartoons or play with the toys.
The boys were very excited to miss the bus until they found out why. Then they were apprehensive until I explained that it was just check up time. That brought back the excitement because they knew that meant a new bag of goodies, i e toothpaste, toothbrush, chap stick, sticker and a bouncy ball (oh the joy). It was Annalyn's first appointment and I have to say she did really well. She laid there and didn't try to get away. She wasn't real kin on their hands in her mouth but she took it like a champ. Everyone passed no cavities (thank goodness)!!

After the dentist I took the boys back to school (ah bummer) just in time for lunch. Because we hit it so perfectly I decided to let Nic and Boo eat with their brothers. The two of they thought they were hot stuff. Annalyn needs a little more practice with drinking form the carton. She keep getting it down her chin and neck. We started out with Matthew and before we were done...
...We had Tuffer. What a bonus! to bad neither of them could hold still long enough for the picture. Annalyn was getting plenty of attention form the table full of little girls behind us.
It was a good preview of next year for Nic.
He can't wait to eat lunch at school everyday. Ah, the simple things in life. School lunch...huh.

P.S.- Please do not worry, that's not dirt on his face and we do not beat this kid. It's just Nic. Here is the run down of the bruises: Face-plant on the way to his chair in class (right eye), walking into a pole (left eye), fall over the back of the seat in the car (above left eye), scratch on from brother(right check may scar, that kid we did beat). BOYS.

A Wild and Wacky Time

Today was the elementary school's fall carnival. The kids love to go, so we go but we only buy a limited amount of tickets and when they are gone so are we. That way Sherm and I don't go too crazy (with all the kid chasing and people crowding) while we are there. The most popular attraction for the kids is the cake walk. Shermie won and Annalyn would have if she had been playing right but what can you expect for a little cute girl.
The second favorite attraction is the karate short lessons. They give you a demo and then let you spin the wheel for a prize. Nicholas won a pizza party and Matthew won a family lesson and the other two won a chance to break a board. It will be a fun family home evening at the karate gym in the near future.

This year I help Shermie's class with their project for the silent auction. We made this clock with there hand prints and signatures. I really like how it turned out. It was a lot of fun to work with the kids. they did a great job. I think I will do this again for myself with my own kids.
Nicholas' class project was this candy bowl I won from the silent auction. Since I have one of Shermie projects all ready I bid on Nic's. He was so happy to see it when I brought it home.
Next year I will have to try for Matthew and Tuffer's.

Back to School! Wahooo...Boohoo!

Another school year begins. Look how excited they are. Can you feel the excitement on my face?
This year is a first and last year. Nicholas is so happy to be starting Kindergarten and getting to ride the bus. How can it be here already? I will miss is exuberance, smiles, and hugs.
It will be the final year for Shermie in Elementary school. Next year he is in Middle school (I don't know if I am ready for that). He is already wearing the same size shoe as me and he will have me beat in height in no time at all. OFF THEY GO!
Of course I followed the bus to school as is tradition with the first day of kindergarten (any more after that is unwelcome). As excited as I am for them to be back in school, I found myself getting a little choked up. Nicholas didn't seem nervous at all. He happily talked with old friends and was making new ones. When they went into class he just waved.
Annalyn and I weren't quite sure what to do with ourselves when we got home. It was so quiet and it stayed clean. Before too long though Nic's bus was rounding the corner. Hooray!! He said he had a great day and loved his new class.

Here are the best and worst parts of the day:
Best/Worst

Shermie- I liked everything
Tuffer- seeing friends/reading
Matthew-recess/
Nic-My teacher/
Annalyn- NO BOYS :)/ no boys :(
MOM- AHH, the Quiet/sad they are growing up so quick

Back to School! So Soon?

...And away they go!

It got here to quick for me! I loved having them all home. Now the house feels a little lonely. Bocker is sure loving it though. He follows me around talking the whole time. Taking full advantage of the undivided attention. I think he too is going to miss them soon enough. To me our house never seems full enough.
The older boys are all very excited for the school year. Shermie was a little apprehensive until he saw that he knew a lot of the kids in his class. Tuffer is Tuffer and just went with the flow. Matthew acted like he's been going to kindergarten his whole life. He went like he owned the place but that's Matthew. He has a male teacher which I think is just perfect for him. He already thinks his teacher is the greatest because he made him laugh.

Shermie says his teacher is really nice. He is already looking forward to some of the things she has planned for them this year. Tuffer has the same teacher Shermie did in first grade and she is awesome. He will enjoy being in her class though Tuffer is easily please. They are smart Boys!

Nicholas thinks it's great to be mom's Big Helper at home. It did take some convincing though because there has always been someone else to do the little chores around the house i.e. picking up his own room and clothes, cleaning windows etc. He is taking it in stride, even if he has been a bit spoiled until now (and still is : ).

Last Days Of Summer Fun

I can't believe how quickly this summer has gone by. Three of the boys start school next week. Shermie will be in third grade, Tuffer in first, and Matthew is starting Kindergarten. Nicholas isn't going to know what to do with himself. This weekend we took the boys school clothes shopping. It was actually not as painful as I had anticipated, shopping with four boys. I'm glad Sherman Peter went too. It was very helpful and we did a good job staying in our budget which was an extra bonus. We did have to hurry though so Matthew could make it to his friend 's birthday party.

Matthew had a great time at his friend Ryan's party at Banana's Fun Park. They had pizza, pop and cupcakes. They played on the bump and jump, drove bumper boats, played video games and Laser tag! That was a lot of fun to watch!!!
